The promenade located in Diu, connects the main road intersection to the fort and is a prominent landmark as we approach the Gujarat Diu highway. The promenade in its existing character, commemorates naval history and monuments of historical significance which have been integrated into the landscape design. The landscape of the area is designed as a dynamic historical trail that connects back to the fort plaza. An array of spaces have been designed to cater keeping in mind the tourist influx of various user groups. Along the promenade are spaces that frame the views of the sea, while also providing areas for passive and active interaction. Native plantings and interpretive signage enhance ecological resilience and narrate the region’s heritage.
